Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that the extended support on the Windows 7 operating system would end on January 14, 2020. This means that effective on that date, there will no longer be any updates, including security updates leaving you exposed to cyber security threats. Keep in mind that while you may not feel you have a tremendous exposure; the cyber attackers are gearing up to put all efforts towards Windows 7 users as soon as support ends.
In order to protect our clients and our data, we will not be able to attach to computers that are running on Windows 7 and/or receive flash drives from computers running Windows 7 after December 31, 2019.
If you are running Windows 7, we recommend that you begin the process of upgrading to Windows 10 prior to December 31, 2019 so that we can continue to service you in the same manner as before. You can purchase Windows 10 on the Microsoft website.
